Exceptional French Gilt Bronze Figural and Ocher Marble Mantel Clock, 19th c., with a large allegorical figure of "Knowledge," a seated woman in classical robes leaning on a globe atop a stack of books, atop a rectangular marble block with a drum clock, time and strike, the movement with an impressed mark of E. DelaBroue Foundry, Paris, with a central relief star and an enamel chapter ring also with the same foundry mark, within an outer ring mounted with the twelve relief figures of the zodiac, on a stepped sloping marble base, H.- 22 1/2 in., W.- 19 1/4 in., D.- 8 1/8 in.
